Alamo Bolt is one of the largest bolt and screw dealers in the southwest.

IS Systems originally came into Alamo Bolt and Screw to tackle converting their accounting and inventory data from a much older SCO Unix Host System into Windows. We learned later that several other companies had looked at the problem and said it could not be done. IS Systems programmers wrote custom conversion programs to bring the data into Open Systems Accounting Software on the Unix System. The difficulty had been in the 110,000 inventory items, many of which had been retired, and in the unique circumstances of this business. In order to get the data off of the SCO Host IS Systems converted one if its own workstations into an SCO OpenServer V which has networking, then and physically moved the data on tape to this machine. Finally moving the data over to a Windows Machine across the network.
Since then we have been involved in network upgrades, a server build, Open Systems Accounting Software customizations, hardware and windows support, Open Systems support and training, customized Unform, as well as General Accounting consulting.
